The use of preparations based on hyaluronic acid is the best way to achieve the effect of beautiful, full and natural-looking lips. In addition, during the treatment, you can eliminate wrinkles appearing around the mouth and lift their corners.
Young women whose lip contour is still clearly marked usually decide only to increase their volume, so-called relief of labial red. Older people whose wrinkles are beginning to be visible, so-called smoker’s lines, in order to achieve the desired effect, in addition to enlargement, also emphasize the contour of the lips.
ACTION
Beautiful lips emphasize not only our beauty, but also give us confidence and improve well-being.
Lip surgery is often a unique opportunity to change for men and women who have been struggling with problems for narrow or small mouths, or significantly different proportions of upper and lower lip since early childhood.
Treatment with hyaluronic acid, as we have already mentioned, also copes well with acquired over the years: smoker’s lines and falling corners of the mouth.
EFFECTS
- models and enlarges lips,
- improves the contour of the lips,
- reconstructs the shallowed bow of Cupid – a hollow above the upper lip,
- recreates the so-called filtrum, or a gutter between the mouth and the nose,
- underlines the red lip, leaves it tense, elastic and supple,
- lifts corners of the lips
- eliminates wrinkles around the lips,
- moisturizes.
The result is immediate, but we will see the final effect only after some time after the surgery. Hyaluronic acid for 2-3 weeks adjusts to the structure of the skin, “fits in” and only after this time we will be able to see the full effect and decide (if necessary) about the completion.
COURSE OF TREATMENT
For the procedure of enlarging and firming the lips in the Anna Pikura Clinic, we always use ready-made pre-filled syringes with a hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs naturally in the human body and for many years has been used in many different branches of medicine, for example in orthopedics, rheumatology or ophthalmology. The treatment consists of injecting small portions of the gel with a very fine needle.
The procedure is performed using anesthesia (anesthesia is used by cream with anesthesia – then the patient has to apply for the procedure 30 minutes earlier in order to apply anesthesia or perform dental anesthesia). After the treatment the doctor performs lips massage.
Immediately after the hyaluronic acid injection procedure, redness or bruising may occur at the injection site due to hematoma. This is completely normal and disappears within a few days. After the treatment for a few days you can use anti-inflammatory drugs to reduce swelling, you should also drink about 2 liters of water per day and lubricate the lips with ointment with arnica.
The first effects are visible immediately, you need to wait 2-3 weeks for the full effect. For 3 weeks you should not fly by plane, dive, perform cosmetic procedures, massage, use the sauna. We also do not recommend any heating treatments for the next few days after the procedure.
NUMBER OF TREATMENTS
Usually, one treatment is enough. After 2-3 weeks, a check-up takes place during which the doctor decides about the patient’s mouth and whether his or her expectations have been met. If necessary, it will take the preparation once again. We recommend the next modeling of the lips no earlier than six months after the previous one.
CONTRAINDICATIONS / ADVERSE REACTIONS
Each time the doctor will qualify for the procedure after a thorough interview and examination. Only adults can undergo the treatment.
The contraindications of lip augmentation and firming include:
- pregnancy and lactation,
- skin inflammation, e.g. herpes, purulent skin conditions,
- autoimmune diseases,
- the tendency to form keloids
- formation of granulomas and swellings after previous treatments,
- taking certain medicines (blood thinners, antibiotics, anticancer medicines),
- planned treatments with a laser or other light source are always carried out before the planned filling.
After treatment, redness, swelling or small hematomas may appear which disappear after a few days. People suffering from recurrent herpes should take antivirals 3 days before the procedure and 3 days after the procedure.
Immediately after the procedure, it may be necessary to stay for a few days at home for aesthetic reasons.
