PDO threads are one of the latest techniques used in rejuvenating treatments.
The PDO Thread method derives from the idea of face lifting with the use of lifting thread systems such as aptos, silhouette-lift, happy lift or previously used gold threads. However, unlike these systems, PDO lifting is a much safer procedure, because it is less invasive and also more comfortable for the patient.
This treatment is dedicated to patients from the age of 30, when the first signs of aging begin to appear. The treatment does not have an upper age limit.
ACTION
The whole procedure involves the implantation of soluble polydioxanone threads under the skin. Polydioxanone – or in short PDO, is a strong synthetic fiber that naturally dissolves in the tissue over time. What does the thread look like? PDO threads are made of one beam and are characterized by a homogeneous surface free from depressions and fissures, so there is no fear that bacteria may colonize around it.
On the basis of clinical trials, it was found that polydioxanone stimulates the process of neo-collagenesis in tissues, more simply – stimulates the production of new collagen – a protein responsible for skin firmness and firmness. In addition, it stimulates the synthesis of elastin – a protein responsible for the elasticity and elasticity of the skin. In in vivo studies, it was also found that the action of polydioxanone causes the synthesis of natural (endogenous) hyaluronic acid.
Thanks to the treatment with PDO threads, we can also effectively reduce the strength of facial mimic muscles. In this way, we get an effect similar to the action of botulinum toxin, but to a much more natural extent – as the muscles will not be immobilized but only weakened. Indications for the use of PDO threads:
